With a beautiful dress with gold, this rum reveals notes of small citrus, toast and chocolate. After a very short ventilation, the moka appears, close to the cooked fruits, the pine resin and the hot sugar. On the palate, the attack is flexible and very gentle and can express the aromas of mocha, plum, bitter orange and shell fruits. The mouth end is characterised by a soft bitterness brought by melted tannins.
This Montebello Rum, which benefited from 8 years of aging in Ex-Bourbon Oak Barrel, is an agricultural rum. This means that the rum was obtained exclusively by alcoholic fermentation and by distillation of the sugarcane juice.

This 3-year-old old rum is the only gathering of the Montebello area. It is actually a mix between 3 years (70%), 8 years (20%) and 12 years (10%). Old rums benefit from this designation after staying at least 3 years, within the same was oak or, in turn, in different futs.
The nose opens on notes of brown sugar and flambé bananas of slightly lemony dark chocolate. The texture in the mouth is generous, the aromatic becomes more pastries with notes of crème brûlée with vanilla. Bourbons barrels bring a crispy popcorn finish and some subtly integrated tannins. A perfect rum for sublime cheese and/or dessert.
