Our whisky making process is dedicated to preserving the Five Rare Crafts and we are the only distillery in Scotland still growing their own barley, using traditional floor maltings, and maintaining both a coppersmith and a team of local coopers.

After a classic maturation of at least 21 years in traditional American oak barrels, this whisky gets its final maturation in rare Portuguese oak barrels in which Tawny Port wine was previously stored at least 30 years old. These barrels are also referred to as pipes.
