It is known that newborns and infants convert milk casein into α-casocepine by enzymatic cleavage. Vetoquinol Zylkène 450 mg 100 capsules is a supplementary feed for dogs. Recommended for dogs who are exposed to unfamiliar situations or where events are imminent such as changes in the environment, being left alone, family growth, changing caregivers, keeping several pets, lactation, weaning, travelling, fireworks or for all situations where your pet's usual routine is changed.
Mechanism of action: α-casocepine binds to the so-called γ-aminobutyric acid A (GABA-A) receptor in the central nervous system (CNS), which explains the anxiety-relieving effect as well as with benzodiazepines (psychotropic drugs) often used as a sedative. The effect is therefore similar to that of a benzodiazepine, but the mechanism of action is different. GABAA is a messenger substance of the central nervous system, which has an inhibitory and thus calming effect.
If dogs suffer from stress or anxiety, it is important not to ignore them, but to help the animals immediately. Because stress and anxiety can change the behavior of an animal and destroy its being in the long term. Finally, organ diseases can also develop from continued behavioural disorders. There are various ways to combat stress and anxiety related behaviour disorders and counteract the suffering of animals.
