Sencha green tea is the most popular tea in Japan. The Azafran Sencha is characterised by neatly rolled leaves, few stems and a beautiful green colour. Tastefully it is typical of a Sencha by Kagoshima but unlike a Sencha e.g. by Shizuoka or a Gyokuru first flush tea.
Preparation recommendation: Put 1 teaspoon tea in a tea bag/cup: then approximately 75 °C water – brewing time: 3–5 minutes. (Higher temperatures can change the taste unpleasantly into grassy or even bitter). You can infuse the tea 2–3 times.
Green Tea. – Japanese organic Sencha (loose) without flavours from controlled organic cultivation in the southwest of Japan (Kagoshima).
"Premium version", which is characterised by a typical but also "mild" Japanese aroma. Our regular tea has lower "Umami" values than other Sencha varieties. However, some batches of our brand may vary and have higher values. Original Japanese Sencha is more intense and high-quality in taste than Bancha or e.g. China Sencha. Chinese Japan Style Sencha also has visually inferior or irregular leaves and no deep green colour.
