X.O. Terre is the art of cognac godet in its highest perfection, the oldest and most complex thing there is. It is an iconoclastic assemblage of the 6 crus of cognac. For each of these terroirs, Godet selects the most valuable eaux-de-vie, aged between 10 and 30 years in oak barrels in the cellars in La Rochelle. All the know-how in a single carafe that symbolises the pursuit of perfection for Godet. Only a few dozen barrels are bottled each year to preserve this extraordinary creation. This honors the best of the 80,000 hectares of Cognac vineyards.
The scent of floral aromas of roses, violets, lilacs, orange blossoms and jasmine is complemented by fruity notes such as prunes, candied fruit, lychee and orange peel. On the palate, these complex aromas are supported by woody notes of honey, old leather, chocolate, tobacco and cedar wood. Spicy, delicate notes of nutmeg, saffron, candied ginger and cinnamon enrich the variety of aromas. An inspiring cognac with an eventful fresh aroma spectrum and long-lasting finish.
